Redknapp cut for Brighton job
HARRY REDKNAPP'S future at QPR is looking uncertain after his reported disagreements with owner Tony Fernandes over the club’s transfer policy and there seems an increasing possibility of the 66-year-old making a summer switch to Brighton.
A change of manager has been in the offing at Brighton since Gus Poyet was suspended in the wake of the club’s failed promotion bid.
And there was an early gamble on Redknapp, whose odds dropped to a low of 1-3 in BetVictor’s next Brighton manager market.
He then eased to 3-1 with the firm last Wednesday but punters’ interest has resurfaced, forcing a cut from 2-1 to evens on Sunday.
Former Barcelona youth team coach Oscar Garcia Junyent is the 5-1 second favourite and Phil Neville, who announced the end of his 18-year playing career on Saturday, is a 10-1 chance.
Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to rule out signing a new deal for Real Madrid and has been cut to 1-6 with Ladbrokes to still be a Real player when the transfer window closes. He has been eased from 11-4 to 5-1 to seal a summer switch to Manchester United.
Arsenal are expected to be among the busier clubs in the transfer market and Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini looks like being one of their top targets.
Ladbrokes are betting on the Belgian’s club at the end of the transfer window and make the Gunners the 11-10 favourites. Fellaini is 7-4 to join Manchester United and 5-2 to stay at Goodison.
