Sanchez fancied to make quickest impression

A NUMBER of January signings will be looking to impress on their debut – or home debuts – this weekend and Betway are focusing on seven forward-thinking players who could make an immediate impression.

The Betway market is on which player will score first for their new club with Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez heading the betting at evens.

Sanchez has not hit the target on away trips to Yeovil and Tottenham but will run out at Old Trafford for the first time as a United player against a Huddersfield outfit falling towards the relegation zone.

Arsenal swapped Alexis for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who is 7-1 in the market while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 15-8 but he may not be a starter against Everton at the Emirates.

“Aubameyang was sick as well so we have to assess him,” said Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Former Arsenal man Olivier Giroud will have to wait until Monday for his first Chelsea appearance when the Blues head to Watford. Giroud is 5-2 but Antonio Conte said he was unsure whether the Frenchman would start which would be a blow as Alvaro Morata is still crocked.

Newcastle’s Islam Slimani is 8-1, Swansea’s Andre Ayew is 9-1 and Tottenham’s Lucas Moura can be backed at 14-1 to score before the other six January signings.

Moura has been described as a Brazilian Theo Walcott – a tad harsh possibly on the former Paris St-Germain flyer – but the new Toffees new recruit showed he could also finish with both goals in Everton’s 2-1 triumph over Leicester on Wednesday.

Bet365 rate Walcott 9-1 to outscore Aubameyang on Saturday (both players must start)  on his return to the Emirates and the same firm offer 5-1 about the ex-Arsenal winger heading to the World Cup with England.
