Spurs 16-1 for title after Kane signs new deal

ENGLAND captain Harry Kane has signed a new six-year contract with Tottenham, who are 16-1 to win next season's Premier League.

Spurs are 4-5 to finish in the top four next term while Kane is 2-1 favourite to win the Golden Boot.

He was the Premier League's top scorer in 2015-16 and 2016-17 before finishing second to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah this term.

Kane follows his club manager Mauricio Pochettino in signing a long-term deal with Tottenham and Pochettino, having been strongly linked with the Real Madrid job, is now out to 9-1 to move to the Bernabeu.

Former Real midfielder Guti is 7-4 favourite to succeed Zinedine Zidane with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte 9-2 and Arsene Wenger a 10-1 chance.

The Premier League will introduce a winter break in the 2019-20 season, taking place over two weeks in February. Half the clubs in the division will not have a fixture in the first weekend of the break and the other ten teams will have the following weekend off.

Next season's League Cup will not feature extra-time until the final with matches level after 90 minutes going straight to penalties.

The ABBA penalty format has also been dropped but VAR will be used in League Cup games played at Premier League grounds.

Relegated Swansea have rejected bids from West Ham for defender Alfie Mawson and goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

The Swans, who are expected to appoint Ostersunds coach Graham Potter as their new manager, are 10-1 to win the Sky Bet Championship next season and 100-30 to win promotion at the first time of asking.

Leicester have completed the signing of Jonny Evans from West Brom and Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has joined Crystal Palace on a free transfer.

Sky Bet make Palace 9-4 to finish in the top half of the Premier League next season while the Foxes are 5-6 to make the top ten again.

Oldham, relegated from Sky Bet League One, have sacked manager Richie Wellens. The Latics are 4-1 to be promoted from League Two next season.
