Suarez slashed for Confed Cup Golden Boot
LUIS SUAREZ has been cut to 5-1 from 9-1 to win the the Confederations Cup Golden Boot after scoring a wonderful 30-yard free-kick in Uruguay's 2-1 defeat to Spain on Sunday.
Spanish forward Roberto Soldado is now 8-1 third-favourite in the market following his winner in the opening match and the Valencia hitman and Suarez still have Tahiti, 138th in the Fifa world rankings, and Nigeria, who lack some recent form, to play in Group B.
It seems unlikely that Soldado's team-mates David Villa and Fernando Torres will contend for the Golden Boot after both failed to make an appearance in Sunday's game against Uruguay.
Villa has drifted to 20-1 to take the Golden Boot and Torres is also available at the same price.
However, recent Barcelona signing Neymar is joint-favourite with Suarez at 6-1 after an impressive first Confederation Cup match against Japan where he scored the opening goal of the tournament.
