Sudan through to last eight of the African Nations Cup
Sudan are through to the quarter-finals of the African Nations Cup after beating Burkina Faso 2-1 in their final Group B match.
Mudather Tayeb scored twice to give Sudan their first victory in the tournament and edge out Angola, who were beaten 2-0 by Ivory Coast, on goal difference.
Ivory Coast had already qualified after winning their first two games and fielded a largely second-string side, but they were still too good for Angola and kept up their 100 per cent record thanks to goals from Emmanuel Eboue and Wilfried Bony.
The Elephants are clear 11-8 favourites to lift the trophy in front of Ghana at 11-4, while Sudan are 50-1 outsiders.
