Swansea secure huge win in survival scrap
SWANSEA took a huge step towards Premier League survival after moving four points clear of relegation rivals Hull with a crucial 2-0 success at Sunderland.
First-half goals from Fernando Llorente and Kyle Naughton saw Swansea, who host West Brom on the final day, pushed out to 25-1 by Paddy Power for the drop.
That was bad news for Hull. The Tigers are 1-18 to be relegated and because of their goal difference of minus 33 City effectively need to beat Crystal Palace today to stay in the race.
Palace are 16-1 to be relegated and know a point will see them remain in the top flight. Hull host Tottenham in their final encounter, while Palace head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
Arsenal are 11-8 with Sky Bet to finish in the top four following a 4-1 victory at Stoke.
The pressure is now on Liverpool, who are 8-15 to land a Champions League spot, ahead of Sunday's trip to West Ham.
Manchester City moved up to third following a 2-1 success over Leicester. David Silva and Gabriel Jesus were on target for City, although they survived a scare when Riyad Mahrez’s penalty was chalked off for a double hit as he slipped with the Foxes 2-1 down at the time.
Southampton won 2-1 at relegated Middlesbrough and Bournemouth beat Burnley by the same score.
