Title challengers to land heavyweight punches
THE end of Heavyweight Week on Sky and what potentially could be the final weekend of interest in the Premier League title race.
If Chelsea can avoid defeat at Everton and Spurs fail to beat the Gunners, then all bets are off, especially when you look at the respective run-ins of the top two.
Fact is Chelsea have been playing like champions all season – world-beating performances from world-class players like Kante and Hazard, winning ugly when required, big goals at big times.
And there should be goals at Goodison because there usually are when these two meet.
Everton are still smarting from a 5-0 thumping they took at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season and it’s only a couple of seasons ago that Chelsea went to Everton and won 6-3.
And two matches between the teams last season produced ten goals. So I’m on Chelsea and over 2.5.
I shall probably do the same bet for Spurs at home to Arsenal.
The FA Cup finalists are unbeaten in three and still harbouring hopes of a top-four finish but the fact is they aren’t finishing the season in any particular style and they look held by in-form Tottenham, who were good for long periods against Chelsea at Wembley last weekend.
