Top three all enjoy league victories
MANCHESTER CITY remained top of the Premier League betting and Chelsea stayed top of the table after the title-chasing duo both came from behind to register 2-1 victories over Burnley and Tottenham.
Goals from Pedro and Victor Moses helped the Blues see off Spurs and end the Lilywhites’ unbeaten start to the league season.
Antonio Conte’s men were cut from 13-5 to 9-4 to win the league, while City were trimmed from 21-10 to 2-1 after Sergio Aguero’s brace helped them win at Turf Moor.
Liverpool stayed second – ahead of City on goal difference – after a Divock Origi strike and a James Milner penalty (his fifth converted spot-kick of the season) secured a hard-fought 2-0 success at home to Sunderland. But the win was soured by an ankle injury to Philippe Coutinho, who left the pitch on a stretcher.
Sunderland have replaced Swansea at the foot of the table after the Welsh side won 5-4 at home to Crystal Palace.
An injury-time brace from substitute Fernando Llorente settled the match in Swansea’s favour and piled the pressure on Palace manager Alan Pardew, who has presided over six successive defeats.
Pardew has shortened from 7-2 to 5-6 in Paddy Power’s next manager to go market, replacing Swansea gaffer Bob Bradley as the market leader. Bradley – celebrating his first win at the helm – eased from 2-1 to 23-10.
Swansea were eased from 10-11 to 13-10 for the drop while Palace shortened to 9-2 from 7-1.
