Tottenham 9-4 shots to lift Capital One Cup
TOTTENHAM booked their place in the Capital One Cup final by sealing a 3-2 aggregate victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday but it took a roller-coaster ride to get them there.
Leading 1-0 from the first leg, Spurs were 1-8 to qualify before kick-off and hit 1-200 after Christian Eriksen gave them a first-half lead at Bramall Lane.
Two second-half strikes from Che Adams, however, put the Blades in front, and from 40-1 for victory at the interval they hit 1-10 in play when they were just minutes from taking the tie to extra time.
But Eriksen popped up with a second on 87 minutes to take Spurs to Wembley. They are 9-4 shots with Betway to lift the trophy while opponents Chelsea, who reached the final on Tuesday with an extra-time win over Liverpool, are 1-3.
Betway – to win Capital One Cup: 1-3 Chelsea, 9-4 Tottenham; final – 90 minutes: 8-15 Chelsea, 11-2 Spurs, 11-4 draw.
