Warburton backed for Fulham job
FULHAM’S search for a new manager has taken another twist with Rangers boss Mark Warburton strongly linked with the vacancy.
On Monday Warburton responded to speculation linking him with the Championship side by reaffirming his commitment to the Glasgow club.
However, the former Brentford manager’s comments have not put off punters and he is the clear 13-8 favourite to succeed Kit Symons.
Previous odds-on favourite Gary Rowett has eased to 4-1, making him joint-second favourite with Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville, who has shortened from an opening quote of 8-1 with Paddy Power.
Former Sunderland gaffer Dick Advocaat is an 11-2 chance.
Neil Warnock has made a strong start as QPR’s caretaker-manager and he has taken over as Ladbrokes’ 7-4 market-leader to land the job full-time.
Warnock has shortened from 10-1, while Burton boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has eased from 4-6 to 5-2 after admitting that he has not been contacted about the post.
Arsenal are likely to be without Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez for next Wednesday’s crunch Champions League game against Olympiakos.
The duo were injured during Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Norwich and news of their layoffs has been reflected in the match betting with Arsenal easing from evens to 11-10 to win in Athens.
