West Ham out to 9-2 for drop after win at Everton
A 3-1 victory at Everton brought relief to West Ham and their new manager Manuel Pellegrini as the Hammers claimed their first Premier League points of the season.
Two goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and a third from fans’ favourite Marko Arnautovic lifted Pellegrini’s side off the bottom of the table and relieved the pressure on the former Manchester City boss.
However, bookmakers do not believe he is out of the woods yet.
Despite having had only five games at the London Stadium helm, the Chilean remains 100-30 favourite to be the next top-flight manager to lose his job with Betfair and Paddy Power.
West Ham, who finished 13th last season are 9-2 for relegation with Sky Bet, while Burnley, who lost 1-0 to Wolves yesterday to take the Hammers’ place at the bottom of the table, are 5-4 to be playing in the Sky Bet Championship next season.
Raul Jimenez’s goal was enough to give Wolves their first home win of the season.
Everton’s defeat was good news for bookmakers who had seen favourites win each of the eight Premier League matches before the Goodison clash.
