Allardyce goes odds-on for Everton vacancy
IT'S played three, lost three for David Unsworth as Everton caretaker manager after the Europa League shambles in Lyon with the interim boss remaining in charge for Sunday's crunch Premier League clash with Watford at Goodison Park but almost certainly not for too much longer.
Unsworth, who was favourite at one stage to replace Ronald Koeman, is out to 16-1 following the 3-0 loss to Lyon in a market that is looking increasingly like a fight between Sam Allardyce and Sean Dyche.
Big Sam is the odds-on favourite at 8-11 from 6-4 shot Dyche and Wolves boss Nuno comes next in the list at a distant 14-1.
The remarkable gamble on John O'Shea has slowed down in the next Sunderland manager betting, although he remains odds-on with some bookmakers.
