Punters think Pep will be tempted by lure of Juve

Pep Guardiola's stock is at an all-time high after he led Manchester City to a domestic treble and he has emerged as a reported target for Juventus, who are seeking a replacement for Massimiliano Allegri.

Juve's pulling power was demonstrated last summer when they signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid and plenty of punters believe they will be successful in luring Guardiola to Turin.

On Wednesday morning Guardiola replaced Maurizio Sarri as the favourite in next Juventus manager betting.

He shortened to 4-6 with Hills but was available at 10-3 with Betway.

If Guardiola were to make the move, it would contradict comments he made only last Friday when speaking at a pre-FA Cup final press conference.

"I'm not going to Juventus or to Italy, I'm satisfied here, I'm not going anywhere." he said. "Next season I will be manager of Manchester City."

Sarri is the 4-1 second favourite and admitted on Wednesday that he will have post-season talks with the Chelsea hierarchy to discuss his future.

Jose Mourinho and Simeone Inzaghi are available at 9-1 and 12-1.

Speculation over Guardiola's future has not yet influenced next season's Premier League betting.

City remain the 8-11 favourites with Liverpool next best at 11-4.

Frank Lampard continues to attract support in the next Chelsea manager betting.

Paddy Power make him the 1-4 favourite to replace Sarri at Stamford Bridge. Patrick Vieira is the 9-1 second favourite while Antonio Conte and Didier Deschamps are 13-1.

Whoever takes the reins at Chelsea in the 2019-20 season will be initially without the services of midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The England midfielder has undergone surgery after rupturing an Achilles tendon during a friendly match in Boston last week and faces four to six months on the sidelines.

It is the second long-term Achilles injury suffered by the Blues, following on from Callum Hudson-Odoi, who was crocked during a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley last month.
