Reds maintain perfect start with win at Chelsea

Liverpool further advertised their title claims with a 2-1 victory at Chelsea to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League campaign.

It's six wins on the spin for the Merseysiders, who going back to last season have triumphed in 15 straight Premier League matches.

Jurgen Klopp's side are 11-10 to lift the title with Manchester City remaining favourites at 8-11, although the champions have five points to find on the leaders.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's free kick put Liverpool on the road to their latest victory and Roberto Firmino made it two before half time. N'Golo Kante's  solo effort halved the deficit and Mason Mount missed a decent opportunity to snatch a point.

Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat at West Ham with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rated a 10-1 shot to be the next Premier League boss to leave his current position, in a market headed by 11-8 favourite Marco Silva.

A first half lacking in quality and intensity finally sprung into life just before the interval as Andriy Yarmolenko shot the Hammers in front and Aaron Cresswell made sure of the points late on with a curling left-footed free kick past David de Gea.

Solskjaer's side have won two of their six Premier League matches this season and the Norwegian's annoyance at the result will have been compounded by an injury to Marcus Rashford.

Juan Mata and Harry Maguire had chances to equalise for United before Cresswell doubled West Ham's advantage but this was another lethargic performance from the Old Trafford giants.

United are out to 17-10 for a top-four finish this season, while West Ham are 20-1 in that market after moving up to fifth in a congested table outside of the big two.

Arsenal produced a fine comeback against Aston Villa, winning 3-2, having twice trailed and been reduced to ten men in the first half due to Ainsley Maitland Niles receiving a red card.

Nicolas Pepe equalised John McGinn's opener from the spot, only for Wesley to put Villa back in front. Calum Chambers levelled again and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sealed a big three points for Unai Emery.

Wolves remain in the relegation zone but the 19th-placed Wanderers will be delighted with their point at Crystal Palace in a 1-1 draw.

It looked like being a third Premier League defeat in six for the Europa League participants as they trailed to a Leander Dendoncker own goal and were reduced to ten men following Romain Saiss's dismissal for two bookable offences but Diogo Jota popped up with an equaliser deep into injury-time to grab an unlikely point.
