Plenty for west London's wise owls to talk about
What a great idea for the Premier League to put on today's clash between Harry Redknapp's QPR and Martin Jol's Fulham with the winning manager getting his old job back at White Hart Lane.
I'm sure the two wise old owls will have some cracking stories to share in their post-match drink but for legal reasons I'm not allowed to publish my market on the most colourful phrase they use to describe AVB tonight.
As for who will have the broadest smile on their face, I reckon we should be seeing jolly Martin rather than happy Harry.
Fair enough, we shouldn't read too much into Fulham's win over Newcastle last week as it was their first success in eight games.
But that still sounds like a golden run compared to QPR, who have played 15 matches without success since their glorious Capital One Cup triumph against Walsall in August.
For my second Saturday selection, I'm again backing the outsiders in another clash of two out-of-form sides.
Bristol Rovers haven't been scoring many but York, their hosts today, have conceded two or more goals in their last six matches and have only one win in their last nine games. They don't look like odds-on shots to anyone else in the basement to me.
