Allardyce odds-on to
be given England axe
SAM ALLARDYCE is just 1-3 to be axed as England manager before their next game against Malta on October 8, with Hills spokesman Joe Crilly saying: "we think he's as good as gone."
The Football Association are investigating allegations by the Daily Telegraph that Allardyce, who has had just one game in the Three Lions hotseat, offered advice on how to get around rules on player transfers.
Hills go 9-4 that Allardyce is still in charge against Malta, with the latest England squad due to be announced on Sunday.
In a wide-open field Steve Bruce is the 4-1 favourite with Coral to replace him in the dugout, with Eddie Howe, Roberto Mancini and Gareth Southgate all 5-1.
