New Year can bring new blood for Harry's hoops

FOOTBALL managers will often say that players should be having their Christmas parties at the end of the season.

It's a busy old time of year if you spend your livelihood kicking a bag of air around and there just isn't time for revelry.

And QPR should be fearing it most. Eight points from safety, it's a tough task for them to beat Liverpool on Sunday.

But then, as soon as the clock strikes 12 on Tuesday morning, Harry Redknapp's gonna be ready for action.

He'll be getting stuck into the transfer window with gusto. He's already being linked with a plethora of 'triffic players' and a member of staff from Sky Sports News will be sticking their head through his car window every day until the window slams shut.

It never just closes does it. It always slams.

Anyway, until Harry gets some new blood in his team I'll be giving them a wide berth and I can't say I'm desperate to back Liverpool either.

So I'll be hoping Chelsea can do the business at Everton and then we can head off towards 2013 on a winning note.
