Get a busload of cash on my home banker

THERE is a large part of me that wants Arsenal to win the FA Cup and finish outside of the Champions League qualification places just to see the media reaction towards Arsene Wenger.

Every year Wenger gets slated by a section of pundits for his failure to win a trophy, while belittling his achievement in qualifying for the Champions League.

I’ve probably even done it myself - you know the jibes: “you can’t get an open-top bus for finishing fourth” etc etc, blah blah blah.

So let’s hope Wenger shuts up the moaners by lifting the FA Cup and instead of heading to Munich for some Champions League action maybe they can go to Minsk for a Thursday night Europa League clash. They can even drive the open-top bus to the game.

Arsenal should beat Wigan but there have been enough meltdowns from the Gunners in recent weeks (and years) for me to swerve them at Wembley and instead I will be lumping on Stoke to beat Newcastle, who seem to be nailing their pre-season target perfectly.

Avoid relegation? Tick. Avoid the Europa League which could lead to relegation the following season? Tick. Sell your best players for loads of money and don't replace them? Tick.

The Toon have lost ten of their last 15 Premier League matches and that includes some absolute horror shows - 3-0 at home to Sunderland, 4-0 at home to Tottenham, 3-0 at home to Everton, 4-0 at home to Manchester United and 4-0 at Southampton.

Stoke typically crumbled away to one of the big boys last week - they always do - but they also make sure they are strong at home and I expect them to rule at the Britannia again on Saturday.
