WELL that's that out of the way, isn't it?
Uefa's new brainchild of letting half the continent qualify for Euro 2016 means England's win at Switzerland has pretty much sealed the deal for Roy's boys.
What a joke. Fabian Delph can pick up as many bans as he likes over the next year or so, but it's not going to make the slightest bit of difference to England's chances of qualifying. The bookies might as well close the book. Rubbish group, rubbish format; I'm sure Portugal only lost at home to Albania to ensure that come the third international break there might just be something tangible to play for.
Talking of dead rubbers brings us nicely on to Ligue 1, which will be won by Paris St-Germain.
The race for second place comes under the microscope this weekend, however, when Lyon take on Monaco, a match which gives us an opportunity to bump into some old friends.
Steed Malbranque, for example, who I'd presumed was about 67 and running a brasserie on an upmarket stretch of the Cote d'Azur, but is in fact only 34 and still strutting his stuff for Lyon.
And then there's Dimitar Berbatov, who I'd presumed was aimlessly wandering around France earning large sums of money without actually doing very much, and indeed that's exactly what he is doing.
Monaco were supposed to be PSG's big challengers but so far they've picked up four points from four matches and have now got to improve minus Radamel Falcao.
I can't see it myself and I'm all over Lyon to win this one.
