England land nice World Cup draw

Gareth Southgate can have no complaints with England's World Cup group with Coral rating the Three Lions 2-9 to reach the knockout stage after being drawn alongside Belgium, Tunisia and Panama.

An early exit is rated 3-1 which highlights how simple - at least on paper - the task is, although finishing in top spot won't be easy with Belgium 5-6 favourites. England are 11-8 shots.

Southgate's side open up against Tunisia before tackling Panama with Belgium last up on June 28. Some bookmakers have cut England but they are still available at 20-1 to win the World Cup.

World Cup draw - Group A: Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay; Group B: Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran; Group C: France, Australia, Peru, Denmark; Group D: Argentina, Iceland, Croatia, Nigeria; Group E: Brazil, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Serbia; Group F: Germany, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea; Group G: Belgium, Panama, Tunisia, England; Group H: Poland, Senegal, Colombia, Japan.

Expert verdict
Sampdoria have lost only two of their last 13 at home – one of which was against Inter – but the timing of this match isn’t perfect. They played on Wednesday night against Fiorentina, drawing 1-1, 24 hours after Inter quite possibly kick-started their season with their late turnaround against Tottenham in the Champions League.
