Man City are hung out to dry by fantastic Foxes

IT WAS wet and windy across the UK on Saturday and it was raining goals in the Premier League, with an astonishing 29 scored in six games.

Every home team scored at least three, with the surprise result of the day coming at the King Power Stadium where struggling champions Leicester smashed Manchester City 4-2, with Jamie Vardy netting a hat-trick.

City were odds-on for victory but their defensive frailties were exploited by the Foxes, who were two goals up after just four minutes, and Pep Guardiola’s men are out to 9-2 from 10-3 to win the title.

The pressure on Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew increased after a crazy 3-3 draw at Hull, but it could have been worse as the Eagles needed a late equaliser from former Tiger Fraizer Campbell to salvage a point. Pardew is 11-4 to be the next Premier League manager out of a job.

Swansea  moved out of the relegation zone after a 3-0 win over Sunderland with Swans striker Fernando Llorente bagging a brace, while Everton’s poor form continued with an abject 3-2 defeat at Watford which featured two goals from Hornets debutant Stefano Okaka.

Burnley gave their hopes of avoiding relegation a massive boost with a 3-2 victory over Bournemouth, while Arsenal went top of the table on goal difference after beating Stoke 3-1.
