Ox 4-6 to play more than Arshavin in February

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN is 4-6 with BetVictor to play more Premier League minutes in February than Andrei Arshavin, the man who replaced him to much consternation from the Emirates crowd and Arsenal captain Robin van Persie in Sunday's defeat to Manchester United.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was quick to remind the public that the teenage winger signed from Southampton for 12m in August was making his first top-flight start and Arshavin has been chalked-up at 11-10 by BetVictor in a match bet which is all-in, transfer in this window or not. And there had been talk of an Arshavin-switch to Lazio.

BetVictor spokesman Charlie McCann said: " I think we know where van Persie would put his money, but with Wenger defending his controversial decision it is not guaranteed that the 18-year-old will get more pitch time than the Russian skipper."
