Relaxed AVB remains in the frame for Kop job

ANDRE VILLAS-BOAS insists he is in no rush to make a decision on his future but he continues to head the betting to be the next Liverpool manager.

On Monday night, the 34-year-old was 9-4 to replace Kenny Dalglish, while early favourite Roberto Martinez had eased to 7-2.

Villas-Boas lasted less than nine months at Chelsea but he won the Europa League and Portuguese league title with Porto last season and his exploits seem to have made a favourable impression on Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group.

However, AVB claims he will carefully consider his next move.
He said: I'm still choosing the right project and that decision will take the necessary time."

If he fancies the Liverpool position he won't face any competition
from Ajax manager Frank De Boer, who ruled himself out of the race on Monday.

De Boer's price contracted to 3-1 in the morning before going back out to 16-1.
