R's 8-11 for drop after Adel makes Morocco hint

QPR could be without Adel Taarabt for four match matches after the Moroccan stressed he would answer the his country's call if selected for the African Nations Cup.

He is set to miss the games against West Ham (a), Man City (h), Norwich (h), and Swansea (a).

His final game before deaprting to South Africa could potentially come against former-club Tottenham at Loftus Road.

Taarabt's brace against Fulham last Saturday helped the R's to their first league win of the season, but they remain 8-11 to be relegated.

Mario Balotelli has accepted Man City's punishment of two-weeks wages for the striker's poor disciplinary record last season, in turn dropping a tribunal which was due to take place today.

The Italian international has had mixed time of things at Eastlands and still remains linked with a move away from the club.

Paris St-Germain are 6-1 favourites with BetVictor to be Balotelli's club after the January transfer window.

A return to Italy is another possibility with former club Inter and city rivals Milan both 8-1 chances.

Meanwhile, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain, Carl Jenkinson and Kieran Gibbs have all signed long-term contracts at Arsenal.

However, Theo Walcott still remains in talks with the club over a new deal.

The England international is 1-2 with Paddy Power to still be with the Gunners on February 1st 2013, and 6-4 not to be.

Expert verdict
Excelsior, who had been going really well in the Eredivisie, are under pressure after four straight defeats. They have scored goals in each of their last eight games and haven’t been disgraced in any of their recent losses, though they are up against it at a revived Ajax, who are buzzing after thrashing PSV 3-0.
