Sturridge 2-1 to keep place at Palace
DANIEL STURRIDGE helped Liverpool through to the League Cup quarter-finals but bookmakers expect him to be back on the bench when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday.
Sturridge, who scored both goals for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Tottenham on Tuesday, is 2-1 with Hills to keep his place in the starting 11 for the league trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The England international is 4-11 to miss out at Selhurst Park when Jurgen Klopp is expected to revert to his favoured front three of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Sturridge has not scored in the Premier League this season and is 6-1 with Hills to be Liverpool’s leading marksman in the top flight. Mane, who along with Coutinho is on four goals, is 2-1 to be the top league scorer.
Liverpool are 8-11 to beat Palace and maintain their flying start to the campaign which has seen the Merseysiders become 7-2 second-favourites for the title.
Tottenham, 11-1 for their first title since 1961, will be aiming to bounce back from their Anfield exit at home to champions Leicester on Saturday.
Spurs are 4-6 for maximum points, while the Foxes are 5-1 with Betfred and Betway to repeat last season’s win in north London.
Ryan Giggs is 6-4 with Ladbrokes to become the next Wigan manager and the Welshman is odds-on in places to replace Gary Caldwell. Karl Robinson, who left MK Dons on Sunday, is seen as the biggest challenger to Giggs at 4-1 with Coral.
Dougie Freedman is the new market leader to become the next manager of Wolves with some layers rating him odds-on to replace the sacked Walter Zenga.
Freedman, who opened at 33-1, is 11-8 with bet365 to be the next man in at Molineux as previous favourite Sam Allardyce drifted to 9-2 with Sky Bet.
Marco Silva was another initially short in the betting but he is out to 12-1 with bet365 and Vitor Pereira is rated a 15-2 shot.
