Unhappy Ronaldo 7-2 for return to United
CRISTIANO RONALDO can be backed at 7-2 with bet365 to return to Manchester United by the end of the summer transfer window after reports claimed he wanted to quit Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is said to be upset after being accused of tax fraud in Spain, although it is worth remembering Lionel Messi threatened to depart Barcelona in 2014 in similar circumstances.
However, bet365 are taking Ronaldo’s threat seriously and make him 4-7 to remain at Madrid with a switch to Paris St-Germain available at 7-1.
Ronaldo, 32, certainly would not be cheap for any suitors with a €1bn buyout clause and even if Real Madrid were flexible on such unrealistic numbers it would be incredibly expensive.
Spanish newspaper Marca suggested Ronaldo’s potential fee and wages would cost around €400m. A summer switch to China is available at 16-1 with Betfred and Hills.
Premier League new boys Brighton have broken their transfer record to sign goalkeeper Matt Ryan from Valencia.
