Zabaleta backed to leave City in style
IT’S not easy for right-backs to catch the eye but that could be different with Pablo Zabaleta playing his final home match for Manchester City on Tuesday.
West Brom are the visitors to the Etihad and City’s popular marauding full-back, who has been at the club since joining from Espanyol in 2008, has halved in price from 20-1 to 10-1 with Betfred to be named as the man of the match.
Pep Guardiola referred to Zabaleta as “one of the most important players in the history of Manchester City” and added on the club website: “His impact was amazing, he was one of the first players to come here, he has helped the club to where it is right now.”
Zabaleta will be leaving at the end of the season after it was revealed the club would not be offering him a new contract.
The Argentinian is as short as 12-1 to score the last goal and best at 33-1, while he is 10-1 with 188Bet to notch at any time as City look to move a step closer towards reaching next season’s Champions League.
City are 1-25 to finish in the Premier League’s top four with Arsenal, who host Sunderland tonight, available at 11-2. Liverpool are 1-10 shots to join champions Chelsea and Tottenham in Europe’s premier club competition next season.
