Relentless Reds to keep up fantastic home record

Wednesday 7.30pm, Sky Sports Football

Jurgen Klopp’s relentless Reds fought back from a goal down to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, pushing their incredible winning streak to 14 matches in all competitions on home soil.

Liverpool will expect to add another victory to that sequence when they host an out-of-sorts Arsenal.

The Gunners were dismantled on recent trips to Anfield, losing each of their last four visits by an aggregate of 15-3, and Liverpool should have little trouble cutting through an Arsenal defence who have kept just three clean sheets in 13 games.

However, the Reds have shown some vulnerability at the back themselves this season to suggest that the Gunners can bag a consolation.

Liverpool have yet to keep the visiting team off the scoresheet in any competition during this campaign, shipping at least one goal in each of their six home assignments since the summer and Klopp may also opt to rotate his side in this low-priority clash.

Expert verdict
Chelsea beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 in the FA Cup third round and a similar scoreline could follow at the KCOM Stadium. Inconsistent Hull managed only three shots on target en route to losing their last two Championship outings and the youthful Blues look a class above their hosts.
