Liverpool can see off struggling Napoli
Liverpool have been irrepressible in their pursuit of the Premier League title, winning 12 of their opening 13 league fixtures and drawing the other game at Old Trafford, and Napoli are the only club to have defeated them this season.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men won the reverse fixture 2-0 on matchday one but have been in freefall domestically since then, failing to win any of their last six contests in all competitions.
A stalemate with struggling Milan on Saturday means they are outside of Serie A’s top six and Anfield is among the last places they would want to visit given their current form.
With the start Liverpool have made to the group stage, it would be understandable for Klopp to rest key players but, on the contrary, the Reds should welcome back Mo Salah for the clash on Merseyside.
The Egyptian, who has three goals and two assists in the Champions League, will be raring to go and can help Liverpool rip apart a rearguard who have kept only one clean sheet in their last seven game and lost the corresponding fixture with the Reds 5-0 last season.
