7-1 upset ends Northern Ireland's four-year wait
BOTH Ireland and Northern Ireland struck late to secure big away victories in their opening Euro 2016 qualifiers on Sunday.
Michael O'Neill's Northern Ireland side pulled off the biggest upset when they came from behind to win 2-1 in Hungary.
They were 7-1 shots for victory but a goal from Niall McGinn and an 88th-minute winner from Kyle Lafferty assured them of their first away success in four years. Coral make them only 2-1 to qualify for the finals in France
Ireland left it even later in Georgia as Aiden McGeady bagged his second goal in injury time to set up a 2-1 victory. The Everton winger had scored the opening goal of the contest in the first half - Martin O'Neill's men had been 11-8 for victory.
Coral make Ireland 4-6 to qualify for the European Championship, while Scotland can be backed at 15-8 with Hills after they lost 2-1 away to world champions Germany.
