Benteke 40-1 for Premier League Golden Boot

CHRISTIAN BENTEKE is 40-1 to finish as the leading goalscorer in this season’s Premier League as he closes in on a move to Crystal Palace from Liverpool.

The Belgian forward is having a medical at Palace and assuming there are no issues he will make his debut at home to Blackpool in the League Cup second round on Tuesday.

Benteke struggled for minutes at Liverpool, scoring nine Premier League goals in 29 top-flight outings last season but he was a regular source of goals for previous club Aston Villa.
In the 2012-13 season he scored 19 times before tallies of ten and 13 in the two following campaigns before the move to Merseyside.

Benteke will come in for a similar fee to that which Everton paid for Palace’s Yannick Bolasie. Spread punters should note that Bolasie’s departure means Andros Townsend has switched to the number ten shirt.

As Benteke’s future nears to a conclusion doubt remains over Joe Hart’s long-term career at Manchester City after Pep Guardiola said that England’s keeper is free to leave the Etihad.

Coral are betting on Hart’s next permanent club and Everton have been cut from 3-1 to 9-4 but Seville remain odds-on favourites for his signature at 1-2.

Arsenal are still actively hunting for new players and two targets they missed out on will be lining up against them when the Gunners travel to the King Power Stadium to take on champions Leicester.

Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy can be backed at 20-1 with bet365 to score at least three goals past Petr Cech, while it is evens the deadly duo fail to fire against a Gunners side who shipped four at home to Liverpool last week.

Diego Costa is never far from the limelight and bet365 have framed a number of markets on the Chelsea forward after his controversial match-winning performance against West Ham at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Costa is 6-4 to collect another yellow card at Watford, 20-1 to be sent off and 15-8 to outscore Hornets hitman Troy Deeney.
Meanwhile, Watford are closing in on the double capture of Sunderland defender Younes Kaboul and Juventus midfielder Roberto Pereyra.

Steve Bruce has been introduced at 8-1 by Coral to make a stunning managerial comeback at Hull.

Bruce left the Tigers last month but they have not yet made a permanent appointment with caretaker Mike Phelan in charge of today’s trip to Swansea. Phelan is 1-3 to get the gig on a permanent basis.

Despite beating Leicester on the opening day Hull are odds-on to be relegated this season.
