Big six all odds-on for weekend wins

THE results of the Premier League’s big six are likely to decide the fate of most football punters this weekend with all of them odds-on and four involved in the live TV showdowns.

Things start with Chelsea’s trip to Brighton before Manchester United head to Burnley and Arsenal welcome Crystal Palace to the Emirates.
Manchester City are considered as strong home bankers against Newcastle and if everything goes well there will be plenty of multiple bets running on to Tottenham at Southampton on Sunday and Liverpool at Swansea on Monday.

City will be aiming to get back to winning ways after last week’s loss to Liverpool which ended all talk of Pep Guardiola’s side matching Arsenal’s Invincibles, although the leaders are still 12 points clear of the chasing pack.

Fernandinho has signed a new contract to remain at City, who are 11-10 with bet365 to stay unbeaten in the Premier League at the Etihad this season.

However, it’s not all gone to plan for Pep this season with the former Barcelona man set to miss out on signing Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal as the Chilean nears the Emirates exit door to Old Trafford.

“There is no point in trying to hide or deny it, but it is not done at all,” said United manager Mourinho on talk of Alexis heading to Manchester.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was less forthcoming with their transfer plans amid talk of bids being placed for Peter Crouch and Roma’s Edin Dzeko.

Andy Carroll, a rumoured target of the champions, won’t be moving in January after West Ham confirmed their striker faced a spell on the sidelines due to an ankle injury.

Aaron Lennon, surplus to requirements at Everton, is on the verge of joining Burnley.
