Palace punt keeps my head above water
WELL, after Palace did the business for me at Cardiff on Saturday, I suppose you could say that I've managed to navigate some choppy waters.
I'm no longer rowing against the tide and the chances are, with about six weeks of the football season to go, I won't be sinking.
I think I'll resist the temptation to see if Oxford and Cambridge can avoid that fate in the boat race on Saturday.
Although I do note that they are not off until about 6pm and the idea of the race being conducted in the dark does hold some attraction.
Fortunately, the organisers have had the wit to realise that they don't want to be going up against a Super Sunday of Everton v Arsenal and West Ham v Liverpool.
I'm taken by the Toffees in the opener.
While plenty has been made of how David Moyes has presided over the most unsuccessful Premier League season in Manchester United's history, little has been said about the job his replacement at Goodison Park has done.
Roberto Martinez has his team playing some cracking football and they have scored 11 goals in their last four games.
They are breathing down Arsenal's neck and could be fourth if they win today and then take a full return next week while the Gunners are battling for a place in the FA Cup final.
I'm taking Everton and expect Liverpool to have few problems against West Ham.
The Hammers should be safe after their win at Sunderland last Monday and its a big step up playing against the best strikers in the business.
Luis Suarez should score first. It's probably his turn.
And that's enough of me sticking my oar in.
