Klopp bullish on injured quartet
JURGEN KLOPP has refused to rule Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana out of Liverpool’s Premier League game against Manchester United at Anfield on Monday evening.
An injury headache has overshadowed the build-up to the eagerly-anticipated clash but Klopp was relatively bullish about injured quartet Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne, Wijnaldum and Lallana.
Lovren and Clyne “are in the race” according to the German, while “both not ruled out” was his assessment of Wijnaldum and Lallana.
Liverpool are 5-4 for a vital victory and United can be backed at 13-5 for the upset.
Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are available for United, who are nearly at full strength with only Phil Jones unavailable for the trip.
Bet365 and Ladbrokes go 7-4 that referee Anthony Taylor dishes out a red card on Merseyside, while Betway quote Liverpool at 8-11 to commit more fouls in the grudge match.
Bet365 make the Reds 2-5 to finish above the Manchester outfit, who can be backed at 7-4.
Before that potential humdinger there is a weekend of Premier League fixtures, starting with the last two champions meeting at Stamford Bridge as Leicester travel to Chelsea.
Blues forward Diego Costa has already racked up four yellow cards in the league and will be suspended for next week’s clash with United should he pick up another booking on Saturday.
Sky Bet rate Costa 2-1 to be cautioned on his return from international duty with Spain when the Brazil-born former Atletico Madrid hitman hit the headlines once again.
Costa was booked against Italy and scored the crucial opening goal in the 2-0 win in Albania.
