Red-hot Vardy 11-8 to reach another record

JAMIE VARDY broke the Premier League goalscoring record last week and the Leicester hotshot has another landmark in his sights when he takes on Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

The England international, who is on a run of scoring in each of his last 11 Premier League matches, will equal the all-time top-flight record set by Jimmy Dunne in the 1931-32 season.

Betfred and Hills make Vardy 11-8 to equal Dunne’s achievements and BoyleSports are 9-2 he surpasses the former Sheffield United man with Chelsea to come after Swansea.

Stan Mortenson holds the English record after once scoring in 15 consecutive league games for Blackpool and Vardy is 33-1 to equal that tally with bet365 and 100-1 to better it.

Vardy is yet to score from outside the penalty box this season – bet365 make it a 10-1 shot that statistic changes in Wales – and Betway rate him 11-1 to notch in both halves.

The 28-year-old already has 14 Premier League goals this season and Betfred offer 16-1 he breaks the Premier League record of 34 set by Andrew Cole and Alan Shearer, while Vardy’s form has helped Leicester up to second in the table, behind Manchester City only on goal difference.

Betway make the Foxes 4-1 to sit at the summit after this weekend’s matches and Boyles go 12-1 for Leicester to be top of the table come Christmas.

Vardy has been linked with several clubs, including Real Madrid, and Hills go 3-1 he leaves Leicester in January but if he does rock up at the Bernabeu it won’t be to play in the Copa del Rey.

Madrid were kicked out of the competition for fielding ineligible player Denis Cheryshev.
