Relegation looming large for woeful West Brom

WEST BROM are just 1-100 to be relegated from the Premier League following their 2-1 home defeat to Burnley yesterday.

The Baggies are ten points adrift of safety following a run of eight consecutive defeats and have just eight games remaining.

Next Saturday’s home fixture with Swansea is a must-win game for Albion who have Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham
looming large on their to-do list.

Bookmakers expect 4-11 shots Stoke and Huddersfield at 6-4 to join West Brom in the bottom three at the season’s climax.

Stoke face a daunting trip to Arsenal today and Huddersfield slipped closer to the drop zone after a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.

Yesterday’s win moved Newcastle seven points clear of danger and they are out to 40-1 with bet365 to go down.

Crystal Palace missed an opportunity to enhance their chances of survival after they lost 2-1 at home to Liverpool.

Palace led through a 12th-minute Luka Milivojevic penalty but second-half goals from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah stole the points for the Reds to leave the Eagles in 17th place and 7-1 to land in the Sky Bet Championship next season.

Southampton’s position is also perilous. They lost 3-0 at West Ham and are 2-1 to go down, while the Hammers went five points clear of the bottom three and are 10-1 for the drop.

Manchester City can win the league at Old Trafford next Saturday after beating Everton at Goodison Park.
