Slade a big hit to be Cardiff number one
LEYTON ORIENT say they have rejected three approaches from Cardiff for their manager Russell Slade but that hasn't stopped the Orient boss hardening at the head of the market to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Local media have suggested that Cardiff would continue their pursuit of Slade, who is in to 8-11 with Paddy Power. His price was shorter than that at one stage on Tuesday before a slight drift, though he was chopped significantly by bet365, who offer 1-3 that he takes over at the Bluebirds.
The big mover was former Leeds and Reading boss Brian McDermott, who is best at 20-1 having been 50-1 on Tuesday morning.
Caretaker manager Scott Young is rated a 12-1 shot by bet365 but he is much more likely to be the next manager's assistant. Danny Gabbidon is sharing managerial duties with Young but is dismissed as a 50-1 chance.
USA is now Paddy Power's 7-5 favourite to host the 2022 World Cup, though Coral, Hills and Ladbrokes still favour Qatar.
