Watford make it three wins from three games
Liverpool and Chelsea head the Premier League table but they have company in the shape of Watford, who joined them on three wins out of three thanks to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
The Hornets were 13-8 shots in a fairly open betting heat but after a goalless first-half strikes from Roberto Pereyra and Jose Holebas put them in a commanding position. Wilfried Zaha netted a late consolation for Palace.
Chelsea needed a late own goal from Newcastle’s DeAndre Yedlin to come away from St James’ Park with three points.
Eden Hazard had put the Blues ahead from the penalty spot before Newcastle substitute Joselu levelled minutes later.
Fulham got off the mark with a 4-2 success over Burnley, who have shorted to 9-4 for relegation as they slipped to third-bottom with just one point.
