Chelsea beat Arsenal in London derby thriller
CHELSEA moved to the top of the fledgling Premier League table
after a 3-2 victory over Arsenal.
The Blues had been odds-on to win their first home game under
MaurizioSarri, and were only 1-12 in-play after Pedro and Alvaro
Morata putthem 2-0 up after just 20 minutes.
But the Gunners were level by the break in an open contest, and
it took a strike from Marcus Alonso just nine minutes from the
end to seal the points.
West Ham prop up the Premier League table after they threw
away a half-time lead to lose 2-1 at home to Bournemouth.
Cardiff remain relegation favourites at just 8-15 after they
needed a late penalty save to hold ten-man Newcastle to a goalless
draw at home.
Huddersfield and Brighton, next in the drop betting, are in
action on Sunday and then it’s second-bottom Fulham at 11-4.
The Cottagers were beaten 3-1 by Tottenham at Wembley, where
Harry Kane netted the third for Spurs to get off the mark for the
season.
There were also first wins of the campaign for Everton and
Leicester.
