City beat Reds to cut gap at top to four points
Manchester City blew the Premier League title race wide open with a crucial 2-1 victory over leaders Liverpool in an enthralling contest at the Etihad which saw the champions cut the deficit at the top to four points.
City are 6-5 to retain the crown with Leroy Sane's strike proving decisive after Roberto Firmino had earlier cancelled out Sergio Aguero's first-half opener.
It was a first league defeat of the season for Jurgen Klopp's men, although they are still clinging on to title favouritism in a battle which looks set to go to the wire.
The Merseysiders are out to 10-11 with Ladbrokes for a first title triumph since 1990 and will be hoping this loss does not derail their championship dreams.
Liverpool, who were 8-15 favourites for the title with Hills before the match started, drifted to 4-6 after Aguero's goal and then went 4-9 when Firmino levelled but would have gone shorter still until Sane struck off the inside of the post.
Third-placed Tottenham will have also been pleased with the result and are six points behind Liverpool, but remain very much the outsider of three at 20-1.
