Conte cut for early Chelsea exit

CHELSEA have denied reports that Antonio Conte is close to leaving Stamford Bridge but Ladbrokes believe it is just a matter of time before the Blues are looking for a new manager.

Conte is 11-5 to still be Chelsea’s coach come the final day of the Premier League season with the firm offering 1-4 the Italian has left the champions in time for the clash with Newcastle.

Chelsea are fifth in the Premier League, ten points off the Champions League qualification pace, although they remain in the FA Cup with a semi-final against Southampton to come at Wembley.

Coral are betting on Chelsea’s next manager with Luis Enrique a warm favourite at 6-4. Max Allegri is next on the list at 9-2 from 7-1 shot Carlo Ancelotti.

Manchester City, who are 20-1 with bet365 to be the highest-scoring side in this week’s Champions League four matches, are 9-2 shots to overturn the 3-0 deficit against Liverpool in their quarter-final second leg.

City are 18-1 to win the Champions League with Liverpool rated 11-2. Barcelona, who head to Rome, head the market.

Expert verdict
Arsenal came from behind to get the better of rivals Tottenham in the Premier League earlier this month and should frank the form in their League Cup quarter-final clash. The Gunners’ 22-match unbeaten run finally came to an end at Southampton on Sunday, but the club has been rejuvenated by the arrival of Unai Emery. Spurs lacked the desire of their hosts in the recent 4-2 defeat at the Emirates.
