England start qualifying campaign with 5-0 win

England are have shortened from 8-1 to 7-1 to win Euro 2020 after Raheem Sterling's hat-trick helped them to demolish Czech Republic 5-0 at Wembley on Friday.

The Three Lions are the third favourites to lift the trophy but world champions France remain solid 4-1 favourites after starting their campaign with a 4-1 victory away to Moldova.

Qualification looks like being a breeze for Gareth Southgate's side, who are 1-14 from 1-6 to finish top of Group A.

The Czechs are 14-1 to win the section while Montenegro and Bulgaria are 33-1 and 50-1 after drawing 1-1 in Sofia.

England continue their campaign with an away game against Montenegro on Monday and are fully expected to make it six points from six.

Southgate's side have shortened from 4-7 to 1-2 to win in Podgorica, while the home side can be backed at 13-2.

Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier will be absent against Montenegro after sustaining a muscle injury against the Czechs.

There was a shortage of surprises in the second day of qualifiers but Portugal were held to a 0-0 draw by Ukraine in Lisbon despite Cristiano Ronaldo returning to the starting line-up for the first time since the World Cup.

Portugal have been eased from 8-13 to 4-5 to win Group B while Ukraine have shortened from 4-1 to 5-2. The Portuguese remain 16-1 in the outright betting.
