How to follow Soccerbase: Bankroll Management & Staking Plan
We aim to enhance your experience as our valued users by providing a clear outline of our bankroll management and staking plan. This will enable you to get the most out of our tipping content. It can also be applied to your own betting by forming your own bankroll management and staking plan, if you don't already have one or fit in with your current strategy.
Bankroll Management
Proper bankroll management is essential for a profitable, long-term, more enjoyable betting experience. While money is personal, and everyone spends it differently, the system we use can be applied no matter how big or small your bankroll is and prevent you from busting it.
Set aside a separate amount of money you want to use for betting, which should be an amount that you can afford to lose.
We use a 100 Point Bankroll.
Staking Plans
We use a 100-point bankroll, and our staking system mainly uses 0.50 to 1.50 points per bet.
For example, if you have a £1,000 bankroll, your bet sizes would be:
0.50 Points = £5
1 Point = £10
1.50 Points = £15
If you have a smaller bankroll or would like to be more aggressive in staking, then using up to 5 Points is likely ok, but your risk of ruin is higher.
There are various bankroll management and staking plan options, but we feel this one best suits our goals.
Soccerbase Staking Plan
The official Soccerbase staking plan looks like this:
Lean (no official bet)
0.50 Points
1 Point
1.50 Points
2 Points
What is a lean?
This means a slight preference, but it's not strong enough to make it an official bet. We often research and analyse games, but we don't think there is value or a strong enough confidence level place a bet. We still share this research with our users along with a lean so they have the information for their own reason or placing their own bets.
