Watford fight back for
2-2 draw with Arsenal

The return of manager Quique Sanchez Flores galvanised Premier League basement boys Watford into recovering from a two-goal deficit to earn a 2-2 draw at home to Arsenal on Sunday.

Two goals from striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, which took the striker's season tally to five, put the Gunners firmly in control at half-time.

Unai Emery's side were as short as 1-18 to head away from Hertfordshire with three points just before Tom Cleverley pulled a goal back for the Hornets eight minutes after the interval.

And Watford then drew level with a penalty from Roberto Pereyra after the Argentinian had been upended by David Luiz.

The point was not enough to take Watford off the bottom of the Premier League and the Hornets are 2-1 to be playing in the Sky Bet Championship next season.

The draw meant Arsenal were unable to leap into third and go level on points with champions Manchester City and they are 10-11 with Betfred to claim a place in the top four at the end of the season.

Everton's hopes of putting pressure on the league's leading lights were dealt a blow when they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Bournemouth, who had been 21-10 to beat the Toffees at Dean Court.

Callum Wilson scored twice in the success for the Cherries' first home win of the campaign and they are 9-2 to go down.

Leeds are hoping to move in the opposite direction and they went top of the Championship with a 2-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.

They are a standout 11-10 with bet365 to win the second tier while Marcelo Bielsa's team are odds-on with other firms.
